Crystal River Commons is located on the east side of US 19/98 in the City of Crystal River. US 19, a major artery through the County is currently 4 lanes, but is planned for expansion to 6 lanes. The expansion will be for a length of five miles between Homosassa Springs north beyond Crystal River Commons into Crystal River.
The Ozello Trail (FL 494) crosses US 19 at the southern edge of the complex, but is planned (as part of the development) to be extended through the Crystal River Commons complex all the way to Venable Street, which is at the northern edge of the property.
US 19 is being improved to provide enhanced access from Levy County south into Crystal River. The bridges spanning the Barge Canal are presently being expanded to four lanes, which will complete this vital link. These road improvements are a path to a vibrant and accessible community.
And, this community has been waiting for more dining, shopping and service choices. This property offers a solid base of customers and employees in an existing market that is anxious for choice.
There are two major airports in the Citrus County region – Tampa International (TPA) and St. Petersburg-Clearwater (PIE) Airports. The Crystal River Airport is a smaller regional facility directly north of the project site. Business flights, flight training, and other travelers access local facilities.
Connectivity to Tampa and the central and eastern portions of Pasco County is much easier and quicker with the Suncoast Parkway. Long-term plans include the extension of the Parkway through Citrus County.
Citrus County Transit is a door-to-door public transportation program available to everyone. It is similar to a taxi service but at a drastically reduced rate – up to three dollars each way. Rates are only one dollar each way for those on Medicaid. With this convenient and inexpensive transportation alternative available, getting to and from the complex is easy—even if you don’t live right there.
